Pincushions for MAFA 2023

It’s a WGGB tradition to provide contributions to the MAFA conference goody bags. For the 2023 MAFA conference, we’re using leftover swatches from Virginia West’s  swatch book to make pincushions.  Virginia West was a long-time member of the Weavers Guild.

The kits consist of four swatches, four squares of fabric, buttons, and sufficient crushed walnut shells to fill four cushions.  They were distributed at our November 1, 2022 guild meeting. Please return the finished pincushions by the May 2023 guild meeting (before the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival).

If you have nut allergies but still would like to participate, you could use some swatches of your own and use polyfill, fabric scraps, or buckwheat husks to fill them.
