About the Guild

Who are we? What do we do?  What’s our history?

Combining Art, Education, and Community Since 1948

The Weavers Guild of Greater Baltimore is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to education and increasing the knowledge of weaving and fiber arts-related skills.

Our membership includes over 250 individuals from across Maryland, Pennsylvania, District of Columbia, and Virginia – with some distant members joining us from further afield.

Our Story

The Weavers Guild of Greater Baltimore began as the Baltimore Weavers Guild in 1948.  It is one of the oldest guilds in North America with a history of public service, learning, and fine craftsmanship.  Read more about the Guild’s history.
