Workshops 2023-2024

Courses by experts, taught locally at the Arts Center or online from the comfort of your home

Explore Fiber Arts Horizons

Several times a year, WGGB brings widely recognized weaving and spinning instructors to the guild to conduct workshops.  These workshops generally are 2 days in length, but are often shorter, and allow guild members to focus on a particular technique in weaving, spinning and other fiber arts.  Workshops usually are held at the Howard County Arts Center, but can also be taught virtually via Zoom.  Students supply their own equipment though instructors may provide materials, sometimes at additional cost.

Non-members may be allowed to attend if space permits.  For SOLD OUT classes, please send an email to wggb@wggb.org to be put on a waiting list.

    • If you sign up for the workshop and have to drop out, we will give you the name of the next person on the list.  It is your responsibility to contact them and make the arrangements, including payment.
    • The person taking your space pays you.  If there is no one to fill your class space, no money will be refunded to you.
      • The workshop must be full before you can take another’s place. Space will be offered to the waitlisted people in order of sign-ups.
      • Information, reminders, directions, etc. are emailed to all registrants two to four weeks prior to the workshop.
